vintage hmv gramophone phonograph model 113 c1938 rare
I have for your consideration, my quite rare HMV Model 113 Gramophone, made at Hayes, Middlesex, England, around 1938. This HMV gramophone is the rare model 113, known as the "Tropical" model, made for the harsher and humid climates of the tropics. It is made from teak (an ideal timber for the tropics) that is polished. While this HMV has a carry handle and is called a portable, it is robust and quite heavy and would fit more into the table category (measurements are 42cm high x 43cm deep x 35cm high). Due to harsh climates these tropical models rarely survive, however, this one has. The case has externally been re polished quite nicely, and the interior has it's original polish which has some age related marks, and the decals are quite nice. While the front...

vintage gramophone phonograph motor garrard super c1928 supreme
I have for your consideration, my superb Garrard "Super" Motor, made by the famous Garrard Company, in England, around 1928. The Garrard Super gramophone motor is without doubt one of the best gramophone wind up spring driven motors ever produced. This motor comes complete with mounting plate, winding crank, speed control, brake, and original blue velvet turntable. While the nickel plating to the outing plate has some signs of degradation, it is still very presentable. The Garrard motor is housed within a fully enclosed cast iron body with cast aluminium inspection covers. The two large mainsprings (16 feet each) in their housings run on special ball races for movement without friction. This is an oil bath type of motor, in which as you wind the motor, a pum...

vintage gramophone phonograph lynport portable c1930 marvelous
I have for your consideration, my simply marvelous "Lynport" Portable Gramophone, made in England, around 1930. This is a well made instrument that cleverly has the tone arm fold into the horn cavity upon closing, and it also has the ability to store some records in the space under the horn. This stunning portable gramophone is housed in a beautiful English oak cabinet that retains it's original polish which is in exceptional condition. The nickel plating to the metal ware is good, and the green felt to the turntable is a quality replacement true in form and colour to the original. Please look closely at my pictures to see just how wonderful this stunning British beauty presents, with note of the tin of needles (see the tin tucked into the corner of the lid ...

vintage telephone bakelite dial pyramid phone c1930 stunning
I have for your consideration, my simply stunning "Gecophone" Black Bakelite 'Pyramid' Telephone, made by GEC (General Electric Corporation), in England, around1930. The Gecophone was GEC firm's successful attempt at producing a self contained table phone, where the bells and workings are housed in one clean unit. My telephone is in excellent condition, with a superb jet black bakelite case that retains it's original black colour and lustre, matching handset with "GECoPHONE" embossed in it, a lovely original cloth covered handset cord, and a nice dial. Please look closely at my pictures to see how wonderful this classic Art Deco beauty presents. This telephone has been fully serviced to provide clarity of transmission, and the original dial adjusted to run c...
